Last week or so I posted a few images on facebook of the wreath I made. So many of you commented on how lovely it is, I decided to blog the images and share with you how I made it! I found this lovely design blog and she posted a brilliant tutorial for how to make a wreath using an old book, some hot glue and a wreath form (take a look at her other tutorials here).
I decided to go garage sale-ing and happened upon this beautiful dictionary printed in 1941. It had duct tape holding the binding together and part of it was more of a reference book. I got it home and started my project. I love how certain words began to show themselves and how they’d stick out at me. I found myself searching for words, but others would come up instead.
All in all, the project took me about 3 hours to complete. I used a large wreath form and would probably do the next size down next time.
First, what gorgeous photos! Can’t wait to look around your blog a little more. Second, thanks for linking up!
